The article presents a range of views from industry leaders on the challenges of providing valuable financial advice at scale. One individual noted that “A one-size-fits-all won’t work, but neither will attempting full personalisation, and what we try to do is personalise what’s scalable and humanise what’s not scalable”. I thought that was an interesting thought to ponder.
Our local challenges in this area will likely grow over time – the FMA’s proposed financial advice thematic will hopefully surface some insights as to current barriers/opportunities in the advice space locally.
