In September 2026, Mosaic and Dentons were hosted by FSC Australia for a webinar exploring the practical challenges and opportunities arising from Australia’s mandatory climate-related disclosure regime.

The session brought together Michelle Segaert, Partner at Dentons Australia, alongside Mathieu Hemery and Chen Chen from Mosaic, to share practical insights for asset managers preparing climate-related disclosures under AASB S2.

With Australia’s climate reporting regime now underway, many organisations are moving beyond understanding the requirements to tackling a more practical question: what does good implementation look like?

Drawing on New Zealand experience as one of the first jurisdictions to introduce mandatory climate-related disclosures, the webinar examined how investment managers can build governance structures, perform climate scenario analysis, identify material climate-related risks and opportunities and establish meaningful metrics and targets.

Key themes discussed include:

  • Learning from the New Zealand experience
  • Turning scenario analysis into decision-making
  • Identifying climate-related risks and opportunities
  • Building a climate data ecosystem
  • Metrics, targets and financed emissions
  • ASIC’s first year observations

How Mosaic can help

Mosaic supports financial institutions across Australia and New Zealand with climate-related disclosure programmes, climate risk and opportunity assessments, scenario analysis, climate data strategy, governance frameworks, target setting and reporting readiness.

If you would like to discuss climate-related disclosures, climate risk management or broader sustainability reporting obligations, please get in touch with us.
